Description:

This workshop will cover the history and technology behind compressors. Tommi will explain the basics of variable mu, opto, JFET, diode bridge and VCA compressors. Tommi will talk about common uses of classic compressors and their plugin versions, and show his drum, vocal and master bus workflow.

"The compressors workshop will naturally evolve into mixing 'in the box'. If the audience is interested of asking questions, we'll be discussing about EQ's, reverbs etc., I'm sure." — Tommi Vainikainen
