Together with Mikk Simson*, an accomplished drummer and drum recording engineer, the subject of recording the drums will be covered in-depth providing a variety of useful information, practical solutions, tips and tricks.

Mikk Simson will get into detail of how to tune the drums for different songs and why he makes certain choices when recording. We will focus on the toms as those seem to be the hardest drums to control but we will also talk about kick and snare sounds.

"There is never just a one sound that works for every musical situation. Most drummers consider it an achievement to keep their drums in tune. Being a versatile studio drummer demands you to be flexible in meeting the needs of the song, the producer and the songwriter. Being able to influence your drum sound in any way the music demands is of key importance” - Mikk Simson

The recording session will happen with a professional drummer, one-man drum recording studio operator and a drum teacher Mikk Simson, commonly known for his work with I Wear* Experiment

*Mikk Simson is a drummer, one man drum recording studio operator and a teacher. Playing with Estonia's most successful pop star Koit Toome, being the number one guy to call when substituting the drummer's for Liis Lemsalu, Jüri Pootsman and others. At the same time touring the world with I Wear* Experiment and keeping the alternative indie beat going with the band Levski. In the midst of all this keeping a drum recording studio going cutting drum tracks for artists from South-Korea, Mexico and China amongst many others. One might say he is one of the hardest working drummer's in Estonia.
