The E27 is a high-quality 500-series equalizer built for engineers who want fast, musical tone shaping without unnecessary complexity. Inspired by the character of classic analog gear, it combines a simple 3-band layout with carefully selected components, discrete electronics and transformer-balanced performance.
Each of the three bands offers 9 selectable frequencies, giving the E27 plenty of range for broad shaping, corrective moves and creative colour. Low and high bands can also be switched to shelving mode, making it easy to add weight, presence or air with a natural, musical response.
The boost and cut control offers up to ±16 dB, but the pot travel is designed to give finer control around smaller EQ moves, especially within the first 6 dB. This makes the E27 equally comfortable for subtle mix sweetening and more obvious tonal changes. The custom machined aluminum knobs are designed for clear visual feedback and easy grip, with tactile details that help you work quickly without second guessing.
Inside, the E27 uses an all-discrete design with no IC chips in the audio path, Jensen input transformer, Avedis custom output transformer and 1122 discrete op-amps. It is designed to interface easily with a wide range of balanced and unbalanced equipment, with high headroom, low noise and the kind of analog confidence that makes a 500-series EQ feel like a proper studio instrument.
