Knif V804 Pre is a premium vacuum tube microphone preamplifier with four input channels.

Inspired by West German engineering of the 1950s, it blends classic circuit philosophy with modern components and precision construction.

At its core is the legendary Telefunken EF804S, a rare and highly regarded NOS pentode, paired with a high step-up ratio Lundahl® input transformer.
This combination delivers exceptional detail, headroom, and musicality. True to the hallmark of 1950s German designs, the V804 Pre employs a pentode in the first gain stage: an approach known for its dynamic response and tonal nuance in sensitive audio circuits.
