Manley Variable MU Compressor/Limiter

The MANLEY VARIABLE MU LIMITER COMPRESSOR has been a best-seller for years, setting a standard in Mastering studios and contributing to hit records. "Mu" refers to gain, and Variable Mu is Manleys trademark for this limiter compressor.

It uses "remote cut-off" of a vacuum tube for compression, similar to the vintage Fairchild 670. The 5670 dual triode manages peak reduction and compression, responding to vacuum tube rectified side-chain control voltages.

The COMPRESS mode offers a soft-knee 1.5 to 1 ratio, while LIMIT mode starts at 4 to 1 and progresses to a dramatic 20 to 1 ratio. The ganged input control is mono-friendly, with separate threshold and output controls. The stereo input control shines in LINK mode, perfect for final mix, 2-track, or mastering. One reviewer described it as “pouring sweet cream over the mix.” Give your music a hug.

Big shipments inside EU ship via different freight companies, recently mostly via ACE Logistics. Freight forwarders can use different courier companies for deliveries to final destinations.

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
