Nordic Audio Labs NU-47 LDC with VF14 Tube, Original Cardioid Version

Bruce Swedien was the ear behind the NU-47 and Martin Kantola the maker. This particular unit is one of the first mics he made and it is with the famed Telefunken VF14 tube that later models do not have.

BRUCE SWEDIEN: This is an extremely high quality, prototype Microphone designed and built by my good friend Martin Kantola, who hails from the Swedish speaking part of Finland. I first met Martin in 1992 in Helsinki, Finland, when I was doing a Master Class at the Sibelius Academy. Both Martin and I are fascinated by the Art of Microphone Design.

The basic concept behind the NU-47 was to make the most capable hyper-fidelity Microphone possible, designed expressly for the recording of featured Solo Sound Sources in modern music recording.

Of course, it is a fantastic vocal microphone. There have been very few NU-47 microphones made. One was made for Icelandic singer Björk, who absolutely loves the sound of this incredible new microphone. She told us that, it captures both the small and the big sounds that she makes!

Bigger shipments requiring pallets or custom made crates ship to US, CA, JP, CN, AU and other outside of EU locations via DHL Air Freight, ETA is normally approx. 7-14 working days from pickup day zero.

Big shipments inside EU ship via different freight companies, recently mostly via ACE Logistics. Freight forwarders can use different courier companies for deliveries to final destinations.

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
