The R-12 brings Royer’s active ribbon sound to a more accessible price point, while keeping the natural tone, smooth top end, and impressive SPL handling the brand is known for. It works equally well in the studio and on stage, making it a versatile choice for guitars, vocals, brass, piano, drums, and percussion.

At the heart of the R-12 is the same 2.5-micron ribbon element used in the legendary R-121, delivering excellent detail and Royer’s famous ability to capture sources with a natural, lifelike character. Its onboard active electronics provide higher output and an ideal load for the ribbon, helping the mic perform consistently across a wide range of preamps.

For added flexibility, the R-12 includes a switchable -15 dB pad for extra headroom on loud sources, plus a high-pass filter to control low-end build-up and proximity effect. An internal shock-mounted transducer and built-in triple-layer windscreen help protect the ribbon while reducing handling noise and plosives.

Bigger shipments requiring pallets or custom made crates ship to US, CA, JP, CN, AU and other outside of EU locations via DHL Air Freight, ETA is normally approx. 7-14 working days from pickup day zero.

Big shipments inside EU ship via different freight companies, recently mostly via ACE Logistics. Freight forwarders can use different courier companies for deliveries to final destinations.

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
