A beautifully assembled vintage German broadcast rack built around the unmistakable sound of Siemens Sitral modules. Housed in a custom 1960s-style oak desktop case, this system combines four Siemens V276 microphone preamps, four Siemens W295b equalizers, an original Siemens N224a power supply, and dedicated 48V phantom power distribution in one elegant, ready-to-record package.
- The Siemens V276 is one of the great transistorized successors to the legendary German tube broadcast preamps of the 1950s. Built with fully discrete circuitry and large Haufe input and output transformers, the V276 delivers serious gain, low noise, excellent headroom, and that refined German broadcast tone: smooth, solid, detailed, and slightly larger than life. With up to 86 dB of gain available, it is more than capable of handling dynamic and ribbon microphones, while still keeping the signal controlled and musical.
- The four Siemens W295b equalizers bring the classic Sitral EQ sound into the rack. Known for their Class-A discrete design, Haufe transformers, and inductor-based presence band, these EQs are loved for adding colour, shape, and weight without sounding forced. Compared to the earlier W295, the W295b is the more flexible version, offering boost and cut across the low, high, and presence bands. The presence band becomes more focused as gain is increased, making it useful both for sweetening and for more precise tonal correction.
Together, the V276 and W295b modules form a powerful vintage front end with real character. It is not a sterile modern channel strip, and it is not trying to be one. This is a serious piece of German broadcast engineering, full of iron, discrete electronics, and practical studio usability. Vocals, guitars, bass, drums, synths, and line sources can all benefit from the smooth gain structure, tight low end, forward midrange, and elegant tone shaping that these modules are known for.
The rack includes a Siemens N224a power supply and two Danner rack 48V modules for phantom power distribution. All modules are installed in a custom-built rack with premade slots and dedicated wiring, finished in a beautiful oak wood desktop enclosure. A rare and complete vintage recording system with classic Siemens tone and proper studio presentation.
PSU works on 220V, EU powercord included.
