Singular Audio tubedrive mastering 500-series

The tubedrve Mastering Version takes the original tubedrve circuit and adds stepped controls for easier recall, stereo matching, and more precise work on the mix bus or in mastering. It also includes a low-gain mode with an extra -10 dB of gain reduction, giving you more headroom when processing full mixes or sensitive programme material.

Each module uses two 6AS6 pentode tubes, with switchable pentode and triode operation. Triode mode delivers a smoother, more rounded overdrive with richer even harmonics, while pentode mode brings a more aggressive distortion character with stronger odd harmonics.

The input, or Drive, control sets how hard the tubes are pushed, while the Bias control changes the operating point of the distortion tube. With high and low bias settings, the module can introduce asymmetrical clipping for a more pronounced and lively saturation character.

A 3-way input gain switch gives you broad level control, with fine adjustment from the input knob. The output control then lets you trim the level coming back from the tube stage.

The Mix control is a very welcome touch, allowing full dry/wet blending for parallel saturation. Since tube drive naturally adds compression as well as harmonics, this makes it easy to add just the right amount of colour, thickness, and movement without losing the original dynamics

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
