Studer 169 is made with very high quality components for the best possible sound. The equaliser is very "musical": it allows changing the frequency response without coloration of the sound. The reliability of the Studer 169 makes it a perfect tool for recording or broadcast application, where compromise is not an option.
The design is very minimalist and straightforward, but the console has everything one might need for recording, mixing or summing.
Each one of the 10 channel strips consists of:
- a mic/line preamp
- high pass filter
- a switchable three band EQ with two shelves and a bell curve
- two aux sends
- pan, fader, solo/mute and a PFL switch
The master section consists of two linkable mono channels with a bus compressor/limiter and a variety of routing possibilities.
The console has had a full re-cap:
- Loose potentimeters repaired,
- VU meters re-built,
- Magnets re-gluded and loose springs reassembled .
Excellent working condition, good visual condition. PSU is switchable between 120V and 220V, currently set to work on 220V. Fuse has to be changed for 120V operation. EU power cord included.
