The TK Audio T-Komp 500 is a mono 500-series compressor with a progressive ratio design inspired by classic vari-mu behavior. As threshold increases, the ratio rises with it, making the unit equally useful for soft control, firmer tracking compression, or more aggressive drum work.
Two ratio ranges expand its flexibility. The full range reaches up to 20:1, while the softer 1:1 to 2:1 setting is better suited to gentler compression and bus-style duties. The RMS detector offers four fixed timing options plus an adaptive mode, including a slower setting reminiscent of the classic 160VU response. A built-in blend control also makes parallel compression quick and easy.
Compact but versatile, the T-Komp 500 brings musical compression, smooth control, and a useful amount of attitude to the 500-series format.
