Audex Rymdklang R-4 Spring Reverb 70´s

The Audex Rymdklang R-4 is a vintage spring reverb unit from Audex Göteborg, built for adding real mechanical space to a dry signal. With its brushed metal faceplate, practical jack and DIN connectivity, footswitch input and straightforward control layout, the R-4 feels like a compact studio or PA accessory from a time when ambience was created with springs, circuitry and hardware you could actually touch.

The front panel gives direct control over the level feeding the effect, the returned reverb signal and the brightness of the sound. Normal and Overload lamps help set the correct operating level, while the Direct / Reverb switch appears to select between the dry and reverberated signal path.

Detailed factory specifications are difficult to find, but the R-4 clearly stands as a rare piece of Swedish audio history with the kind of charm and texture only a real spring reverb can provide.
